Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve complex end-to-end employee exits across multiple international jurisdictions, prioritizing a superior offboarding experience for Remote's clients and employees.
- Provide guidance on key jurisdictions and manage requests on HR matters including termination, resignation, transfers, contracts, and redundancies, ensuring legal compliance.
- Independently lead and facilitate client and external employee meetings related to terminations and separations, including negotiations and settlements.
- Influence and negotiate outcomes in complex terminations, coordinating with multiple stakeholders with competing interests.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance in offboarding activities and audits (payroll, legal, government bodies, unions).
- Draft and administer termination documents, maintain accurate employee records with privacy and confidentiality.
- Process offboarding in Remote’s HRIS, collaborating with teams such as Customer Success, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and Time and Attendance.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to junior team members; act as a trusted resource for employees and clients on employee relations matters.
- Assess workplace concerns, identify facts, applicable regulations, and potential paths forward; guide clients on progressive discipline and best practices.
- Track and monitor ongoing cases, ensuring timely follow-up and appropriate coordination with stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and product development to enhance customer and employee experience.
- Determine methods and standards for new assignments, applying judgement to achieve results in line with Lifecycle and Remote needs.
Qualifications
Extensive experience as an HR Advisor or HR Business Partner with generalist HR competencies across the employee lifecycle.Tertiary qualifications in HR, labour relations, or employment law are a plus.Proven experience independently managing voluntary and involuntary exits with care, sensitivity and legal compliance across diverse jurisdictions.Understanding of employee relations principles, progressive discipline, and workplace investigations fundamentals.Ability to interpret industrial instruments, analyze HR issues, and independently develop practical solutions and communicate recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders.Superior communication, influencing, conflict management, and negotiation skills; ability to lead difficult conversations with professionalism and confidentiality.Business-level (advanced) proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.Aptitude to innovate and optimize processes, with a focus on automation and best practices.Strong record-keeping and data integrity awareness; tech-savvy with asynchronous collaboration and adaptability to new systems.Ability to work autonomously and cohesively in an international, fast-paced, remote environment; able to balance multiple priorities; willing to work flexible hours.Proactive, self-motivated with ownership and accountability; ability to inspire others.Practicals

Remote’s Total Rewards philosophy ensures fair and competitive compensation and benefits. Base salary range for this full-time position is $41,900 to $94,300 USD, determined by role, level, location, and market demand. Geographic pay differentials are considered as part of a global compensation strategy.
