Background
In Northeast Nigeria, across the states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY), child protection and child rights violations continued to be reported. The Child Protection Area of Responsibility (CP AoR), co-led by UNICEF, requires robust information management systems to ensure effective coordination across partners, accurate analysis of child protection needs, monitoring of response coverage and identification of gaps. To strengthen information flow, UNICEF seeks the services of a consultant to strengthen information management systems and products by developing datasets, dashboards, maps, and analytical briefs that enhance programming, coordination and advocacy.
How can you make a difference?
Purpose of Activity / Assignment : The purpose of this consultancy is to support the UNICEF Child Protection Section in strengthening Information Management (IM) systems and products. The consultant will focus on the development of IM deliverables including datasets, dashboards, maps, and analytical briefs that enhance evidence-based programming, coordination and advocacy.

1. Mapping and adaptation of existing IM tools for the CP AoR and production of datasets, partner presence maps, dashboards & infographics
Deliverables / Outputs : Mapping report, revised tools and updated dataset and infographic
2. Training and capacity building (IM tools & protocols)
Deliverables / Outputs : 5 training / coaching sessions + materials
3. Production of datasets, partner presence maps, dashboards & infographics

4. Programme analysis of CP response (coverage, KPIs, contingency planning) and production of datasets, maps, dashboards & infographics
Deliverables / Outputs : Analytical briefs and updated dataset and infographic
5. Comprehensive gap and needs analysis (disaggregated by age, sex, vulnerability) and production of datasets, maps, dashboards & infographics
Deliverables / Outputs : Comprehensive analytical report and updated dataset and infographic
6. Final consultancy report.
Deliverables / Outputs : Final report (synthesis of deliverables, challenges, lessons learned and recommendations)
