Our Environmental business in Santiago , Santiago Metropolitan Region, Chile, is seeking a Geologist to join their team. The role contributes to the future of Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through coordination and implementation of environmental solutions and projects. The purpose of the role is to conduct research or perform evaluations of a geological or hydrogeological nature. Create technical reports to inform proposals, budgets, support environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance for civil infrastructure projects or projects to address environmental challenges. Using knowledge of various scientific disciplines, may collect, synthesize, study, report, and recommend action based on data derived from measurements or observations of soil, water, and other sources.

Responsibilities

• Insights and Reporting : Contribute to the preparation of various data and analytics reports.
• Solutions Analysis : Interpret data and identify possible answers. Involves navigating a wide variety of processes, procedures, and precedents.
• Geoscientific Studies and Interpretations : Contribute to well proposals by analyzing and interpreting geological / geophysical field data.
• Health, Safety, and Environment : Follow the organization's HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well-being of self and others in the workplace; instruct the team in safe working methods; identify instances of risky behaviors within the team and escalate as appropriate.
• Personal Capability Building : Develop own capabilities through assessment and development planning, training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education.
• Data Collection and Analysis : Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Works independently.
• Sampling and Testing : Collect samples for laboratory testing and undertake testing in accordance with statutory frameworks and best practice to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Project Management : Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.
• Bid Solicitation / Proposal / Tender Preparation : Assist in preparing project-related technical documents including proposals, environmental reports, technical specifications, and drawings for review.
