About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the design and delivery of geotechnical solutions for infrastructure, energy, or civil engineering projects. The role involves both office-based design work and site investigation coordination , contributing to complex, high-value projects across Ireland, the UK, and mainland Europe .

Professional English is essential, as the position involves technical reporting, client engagement, and collaboration across international teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and interpret geotechnical site investigations
• Analyse soil, rock, groundwater, and geohazard data
• Produce detailed geotechnical design reports , risk assessments, and recommendations
• Design and assess foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes, and ground improvement solutions
• Perform geotechnical modelling and stability analyses using relevant software (e.g. PLAXIS, GeoStudio, Wallap)
• Support tendering, feasibility studies, and value engineering exercises
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal design teams
• Ensure compliance with local and EU geotechnical design codes (Eurocode 7, BS 8004, etc.)
