Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Setting Out Engineer or Topography Technician to join a growing team working on high-density residential and commercial site development projects across Dublin and Cork. The role is suited for candidates with solid expertise in earthworks, excavations, volume calculations, and surveying, as well as the setting out of roads, foundations, footpaths, and utility services. You will play a key role within a multidisciplinary project team, delivering projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Set out all works on site, including foundations, services, and infrastructure in accordance with project specifications and drawingsPerform precise topographical surveys and record ongoing progress, compiling “as-built” documentation using AutoCADConduct volume calculations for earthworks and excavation trackingOperate and maintain surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, automatic levels, rotating lasers, and drones (advantageous)Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate execution on siteCollaborate with engineers, subcontractors, planners, and the wider site teamIdentify and resolve any technical issues on-site efficientlyAssist with quality control procedures and regulatory compliance including BCAR coordinationAttend internal site management meetings and contribute to project reportingRequirements
Degree or Higher Technician qualification in Civil Engineering, Topography, Surveying, or a related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in civil engineering or infrastructure projectsStrong setting out experience using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipmentExperience with AutoCAD and data collection software for compiling survey reports and as-built drawingsHigh level of English proficiency (spoken and written)Excellent attention to detail, communication skills, and a proactive attitudeFamiliarity with local and European building standards is a plus (training provided if required)Valid international driving licenseWhy Apply?
