Responsibilities
- Mentor, coach, and support a team of Project Managers (intermediate to senior), helping them grow professionally and consistently deliver high-quality work
- Create development plans, lead career conversations, and identify training opportunities to close skill gaps across the team
- Act as an escalation point for team-level project or interpersonal challenges, applying a problem-solving mindset with empathy and accountability
- Foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee the delivery of complex, multi-track digital projects, guiding teams in translating business needs into actionable roadmaps and delivery plans
- Drive strategic planning, risk management, and cross-team alignment between product, design, engineering, and client stakeholders
- Manage project budgets, resource planning, and scope control with support from senior PMs and program managers while maintaining delivery excellence
- Step into project-level leadership as needed to ensure excellence in execution or to troubleshoot key issues
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level client stakeholders, acting as a strategic delivery partner
- Lead high-stakes conversations with composure, facilitate decision-making, and ensure clear communication of project outcomes
- Proactively manage expectations and maintain trusted advisor status with key clients
- Advocate for and implement best practices in agile, hybrid-agile, and digital delivery methodologies, adapting to the unique needs of each project
- Champion project management best practices, implement and optimize delivery methodologies, and maintain knowledge management systems
- Collaborate on resource planning and team capacity management to ensure balanced workloads and optimal project staffing
Requirements
Experience & Background : 8-15 years in digital project management, with proven success in agency, consultancy, or professional services environmentsTechnical Expertise : Deep knowledge of Waterfall, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies, plus strong understanding of digital ecosystems (product strategy, UX / design, SDLC, CI / CD, QA, DevOps)Implementation Experience : Track record of leading end-to-end digital product and platform implementations across web and mobile, including modern platforms (headless CMS, eCommerce, personalization, identity platforms)Leadership & People Management : Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage performance, and foster professional development through mentorship and coachingStakeholder Management : Experience navigating enterprise-level, multi-stakeholder environments with composure and clarityStrategic Thinking : Ability to translate business needs into actionable plans and drive continuous improvement initiativesTools & Certifications : Proficiency in project management tools (Jira / Confluence, Google Workspace, Notion, Smartsheet); professional certifications (Agile, Scrum Master, PMP) are a plusCommunication Skills : Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectivelyPersonal Qualities : A servant leader who is confident, collaborative, and empathetic, with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive commitment to excellenceLife at Apply Digital
