An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative individual to work as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) within General Surgery, Surgical Directorate. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced nurse who will embrace the challenge of this exciting and rewarding role.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care within professional boundaries.
- Demonstrate safe clinical decision making and expert care for patients.
- Teach, supervise, assess and mentor, and plan, prioritise and delegate work to other staff members.
- Work across all four Pillars of Practice and maintain professional and organisational relationships with the multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Training
ANP must possess a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice and have demonstrable evidence of clinical competence.Applications are welcomed from candidates who have not yet completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Practice or attained clinical competence, on a trainee basis. On successful completion, candidates will transition to a fully qualified ANP role.Individuals meeting full requirements for the ANP role will commence on Band 7. Applicants developing into the role after completing academic qualifications will be remunerated in line with Agenda for Change Annex 21, based on current roles and experience.Role Remuneration and Progression
Annex 21 Trainees are paid a percentage of the pay band maximum for the qualified rate, dependent on the duration of the training period (see Terms and Conditions).Requirements and Compliance
