As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure that supports operational systems, analytics, remote monitoring, and digital transformation initiatives in our assets. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to ensure cloud solutions align with both IT and cyber standards, including connectivity and data challenges and high-availability requirements for different stakeholders in the region.

The work

The Cloud Engineer’s primary responsibilities will be to :

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS) to support applications on the IT level that are vital to mining operations and asset management.
• Develop and use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates (Terraform) for repeatable and automated environment provisioning.
• Support the implementation and management of CI / CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
• Collaborate with project, engineering and cybersecurity teams to enforce and ensure cloud security best practices (e.g., identity management, logging, threat detection).
• Participate in project planning and architecture reviews to ensure scalability, compliance, and operational continuity.
• Document configurations, decisions, and standard operating procedures for internal use.
