Job Description : To serve as an experienced individual contributor on Environmental, Health and / or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that are complex in nature and that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Identifies common safety / health / environmental hazards inherent in the organization's operations and establishes guidelines for protection from those hazards.
- Ensures EHS training is completed to comply with regulatory requirements or in support of facility, division, or enterprise objectives.
- Audits safety / health / environmental programs for compliance with company standards, government regulations, and adequacy relative to local conditions.
- Monitors periodic performance reports for trends and conditions, alerts line management to problems and makes recommendations for improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in occupational risk Prevention and Environment.Postgraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety (accredited to by the Health Service)Certified Risk Prevention Expert in the Extractive Mining Industry, SERNAGEOMIN category “A” or “B”.Experience in mining operations.Experience in operations related to mining equipment.Experience leading EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) teams.Experience with EHS management systems.Class “B” driver’s license.Basic EnglishTop candidates will also have
Intermediate / advanced English.Experience with mining technology systems (MineStar, MineSense, Modular System).Additional Information
Willingness to travel : 30%Temporary contract for 12 months4x3 shift – Escondida – QBThis role is based in Antofagasta.Posting Dates
