BreatheSafe is a proud Australian and US based company that strives to develop, manufacture and sell world leading dust control and air quality solutions to any industry that is exposed to dust or airborne contaminant, both locally and internationally. As part of our international growth, we are looking for a Field Service Technician (Consultant) to join our team based in Santiago, Chile or Lima, Peru to support our expanding South American operations.

Role (Consultancy Agreement)

We are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician (Consultant) to provide on-site technical and product support to our valued customers throughout South America. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, commissioning equipment, guiding customers and dealers through product features and ensuring their requirements are met while working with our internal teams to enhance product performance.

This is a Consultancy Agreement, not an employee role. You will have your own company and manage your own work; however, customer and dealer demands must be consistently met. Regular travel across South America will be required to support customer and dealer needs in mining and heavy industries.

Qualifications and Skills

• Trade qualification in air conditioning, mechanical or electrical fields
• Experience in mining, earthmoving, or construction sectors (mining industry experience preferred)
• Strong skills in technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Customer-facing experience in a service role (preferred)
• Ability and willingness to travel across South America
• Excellent communication skills for guiding customers and dealers through product installation, commissioning, and feature explanations
• Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues
• Fluency in both Spanish & English is essential. Portuguese language skills would also be an advantage
• Enthusiasm for learning and staying updated on product developments
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to improve product functionality
• Experience in implementing technical documentation for customer and internal use
