Overview

IDB Invest is seeking a strategic, innovative, and impact-driven Digital Transformation Consultant with expertise in Manufacturing, Retail, Banking, Insurance, and Telecommunications. This role reports to the Head of Digital Transformation.

Location

This position can be based in one of these cities : Buenos Aires (Argentina), São Paulo (Brazil), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Montevideo (Uruguay), Bogota (Colombia), Lima (Peru), Mexico City (Mexico) or Panama City (Panama).

What you’ll do

As Digital Transformation Consultant for one or more of the sectors specified, you will design and implement advisory services that help clients deploy digital solutions, strengthen supply chain resilience and unlock financing opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous digital innovation within the Digital Transformation Advisory Team : source, prioritize, and structure high-impact use cases per sector (examples include Smart factory solutions in Manufacturing; Omnichannel and real-time inventory analytics in Retail; AI-driven credit scoring and RPA in Banking; IoT and 5G-enabled services in Telecom).
• Build convincing business cases highlighting efficiency gains, cost reductions, climate benefits, and financing potential; craft buy-in narratives for C-suite decision-makers.
• Apply design thinking in discovery workshops and agile methodologies in delivery sprints; iterate based on client feedback and market signals.
• Track sector-specific trends, competitive technology benchmarks, and lessons learned from pilot implementations.
