Overview
UNDP internship in Chile, Unit of Adquisiciones (Procurement). The objective is to support the Unit in the collection and analysis of information, strengthen the use of the risk matrix, and define KPIs for the evaluation of contracts and suppliers, contributing to planning, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the area.
Responsibilities and expected results
- Support the collection and systematization of information on unit prices and reference costs for professionals and services, through market studies in public procurement portals and other sources.
- Assist in monitoring ongoing contracts, gathering information on progress, end dates, and payment status.
- Contribute to the organization and update of procurement tracking spreadsheets and supplier information, ensuring data is consolidated and available for decision making.
- Support the use and strengthening of the risk matrix in planning processes and contracts, improving practical application, risk identification and mitigation measures.
- Contribute to the definition and monitoring of KPIs for contract evaluation and supplier performance, systematizing information to inform area management.
- Participate in the systematization of procurement experiences and lessons learned, supporting error analysis and procedural improvements.
- Perform other administrative and technical support functions as required for the efficient operation of the Unit of Adquisiciones, and, when required, the Finance Unit (e.g., maintaining and updating financial documentation and ERP platforms such as Quantum and UNall, among others) according to requirements.
Requisitos
Be a student in the final year or a recent graduate of higher education programs in Administration, Commercial Engineering, Accounting, Auditing, Management Control, or other related fields in procurement and administrative management.Proficiency in Microsoft O365 and collaborative work tools.) Start date expected : late October 2025 or early November 2025, with a minimum duration of 3 months, in part-time or full-time format (desirable), and primarily in-person with possible hybrid arrangements depending on the case.

Process : after document review, selected candidates will be invited for an interview (in-person or virtual) with members of Adquisiciones, Operations and Programs. Additional documents may be requested.
Remuneration : a monthly stipend based on values published for the Chile Office by UNDP HR. Pro-rated for part-time work.
