Pasantía (práctica) Unidad de Adquisiciones

UNDP Internship in the Unidad de Adquisiciones, Santiago, Chile. The internship aims to support the Acquisition Unit in information gathering and analysis, strengthening risk management tools, and defining KPIs for contract and supplier evaluation. Duration : 3 months. Location : Santiago, Chile. Schedule : part-time or full-time (desirable), with possible hybrid modality. Overview

Context and purpose of the role within UNDP Chile’s Operations and Procurement units. The internship supports the Acquisition Unit and, when required, the Finance Unit, by collecting and analyzing information, strengthening management tools, and contributing to planning, monitoring and continuous improvement of the area.

Responsibilities and expected results

• Support the collection and systematization of information on unit costs, through market studies and public procurement portals.
• Monitor current contracts, collecting information on progress, end dates and payment status.
• Organize and update tracking spreadsheets for acquisitions and suppliers, ensuring consolidated information for decision-making.
• Support the use and strengthening of the risk matrix in process and contract planning, contributing to its practical application and mitigation actions.
• Assist in defining and tracking KPIs for contract evaluation and supplier performance, systematizing data for area management feedback.
• Participate in compiling lessons learned in acquisitions and contribute to process improvements.
• Perform other administrative / technical support tasks to ensure efficient operation of the Acquisition Unit, and, when required, Finance Unit (e.g., maintaining financial documentation and ERP / UNDP platforms such as Quantum and UNall).

Application process

Interested applicants must submit a motivation letter (about one page) describing interest in the UNDP Chile Acquisition Unit and availability (full-time or part-time; on-site and / or remote).

Selected candidates may be invited to an interview (in-person or virtual). Additional documents may be requested. The internship is expected to begin late October 2025 or early November 2025, for a minimum of 3 months, in a part-time or full-time arrangement (desirable) with a preference for on-site work; hybrid arrangements may be considered.
