Overview

We are seeking a remote Senior Data Quality Engineer to work closely with our Data Platform Architect and Data Architect and lead the implementation of data quality on our platform, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and consistent. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in software development with Big Data technologies and a solid understanding of distributed computing principles.

Responsibilities

Design and implement data quality processes and frameworks
Work with product and engineering teams to ensure data is accurate, complete, and consistent
Collaborate with architects and technical leads to drive decisions
Actively participate in code reviews and ensure solutions meet best practice specifications
Foster a high-performance engineering culture and mentor team members

Requirements

3+ years of experience in data quality engineering

Advanced experience in software development with Big Data technologies

Knowledge of Java, Python, SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka

Solid cloud experience with more than one leading Cloud provider (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Analytical approach to problem-solving

Strong understanding of compliance awareness such as GDPR and HIPAA
