SCIB (www.santandercib.com) is looking for an Associate to join our Global TMT Investment Banking team, based in Santiago, with a dedicated focus on clients and transactions across Latin America. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in the origination and execution of strategic M&A, equity capital markets and leveraged finance transactions in one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic regions globally.

What You Will Be Doing

As an Associate in the TMT Industry Group , you will play a key role in the Global team. You will support the origination and execution of M&A, Equity Capital Markets, and Leveraged Finance mandates, with a primary focus on Latin America , including cross-border transactions with US and Europe. You will be involved throughout the entire transaction lifecycle —from preparing marketing materials and conducting financial analysis to crafting and delivering presentations to clients. This role offers a valuable opportunity to deepen your sector expertise in TMT and grow into a senior banker .

We’re looking for someone like you to contribute across multiple fronts :

• Coordination and execution of transactions, engaging with senior team members and client C-Level to explore strategic alternatives, originate new mandates, and manage live deal processes.
• Build detailed financial models to assess the impact of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, leveraged buyouts, and capital raises on earnings, cash flows, credit metrics, and ownership structures.
• Perform company valuations using methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), leveraged buyout (LBO), and comparable company analysis; prepare high-quality presentations.
• Participate in client meetings and interactions, gaining exposure to senior decision-makers at large corporates and financial sponsors.
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive approach to both origination and execution.

Experience and Education

Experience : 3-5 years of mandatory experience in M&A and / or akin such as Private Equity, Business Development, and Corporate Finance

Education and Other Requirements : Graduate from top-tier business / engineering schools. Employment permit in Chile
