Wood is looking for a HSSE Lead to join its Minerals and Metals business. The HSE Lead is responsible for the provision of timely advice and guidance on all matters pertaining to Health, Safety and Environment with respect to Legislation, Company Policy and Management System and Client requirements, thereby reducing risks to the business. This opportunity is based in Chile.

The Role

The HSE Lead is responsible for advising managers on HSE matters, supporting the rollout of safety initiatives, and leading incident investigations. The role includes mentoring new team members, conducting inductions, and developing training materials to promote a strong safety culture across projects. May also have a direct responsibility for HSE Advisors and Coordinators within the Business Unit or Contract / Project.

Expected :

  • Risk Prevention Engineer, Mining Civil Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Sernagemin category B.
  • Minimum 10 years of verifiable experience in mining companies
  • At least 5 years leading teams.
  • Fluent technical English.
  • Available for on-site visits.
