Overview
Two full-time academic positions : Theory and Applications in the field of data science and AI. The Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences (FCFM) at the University of Chile invites applications for two full-time academic positions (44 hours per week) - one of which is reserved exclusively for women - jointly appointed by the Institute for Data and Artificial Intelligence (IDIA). These positions are in the Theory and Applications of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
Salary and terms : on-site, Tarapacá, Chile. Monthly salary range approximately USD 3,672 to USD 4,320 before taxes, with potential supplements through projects or other activities. Closing Date : November 10, 2025, 23 : 59 local time.
Responsibilities
- Engage in both individual and collaborative research in the theory and / or applications of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science.
- Contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching (especially with the Master of Data Science).
- Participate in outreach activities and develop industry connections through research and development projects.
- Be involved in postgraduate courses or diploma programs as appropriate.

Hold a Ph.D. or be in the final stages of obtaining it before assuming the position.
