This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Azumo. We are currently looking for a Data Engineer in Latin America.
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable data infrastructure to power advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives. You will work closely with a collaborative team of engineers to build data pipelines, data warehouses, and BI platforms that transform raw information into actionable insights. This role offers the opportunity to work on cloud and on-premise architectures, using technologies like Spark, Kafka, and Snowflake, while contributing to high-impact projects in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Your work will directly enable data-driven decision-making and innovation, helping organizations unlock the full potential of their data. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
- Develop and optimize data warehouses, ETL processes, and BI platforms for high performance
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility
- Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, identifying and resolving issues proactively
- Assist in integrating cloud-based and on-premise solutions for analytics and machine learning applications
- Contribute to best practices for data architecture, coding standards, and operational efficiency
- Support knowledge sharing, mentorship, and team development initiatives
Qualifications
BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics infrastructure, or data managementStrong expertise in building data warehouses, big data systems, and ETL pipelinesProficiency with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Kafka, or similarPractical experience analyzing, visualizing, and transforming complex datasetsExperience with cloud-managed services (Airflow, Glue, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Databricks, etc.) is a plusFamiliarity with notebooks like Jupyter or Google ColabSelf-motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about problem-solvingStrong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fully remote teamBenefits
