The Role

Ottimate is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Payments Analyst to join our Finance team. This is a crucial, high-impact role responsible for being the analytical powerhouse supporting our Payment Operations, Vendor Operations, and Risk teams.

You will not just report data; you will build the data infrastructure, automated monitoring, and predictive models necessary to optimize payment performance, maximize vendor conversion economics, and actively mitigate payments risk across the entire platform.

Responsibilities

This role is defined by its focus on building systems and automating insights :

Data Automation & Alerting :

• Design, build, and maintain automated anomaly detection and alerting systems to monitor the real-time health of payment flows (e.g., sudden dips in success rates, spikes in cost, abnormal transaction velocity).
• Own the data pipeline for Payments—from sourcing raw transactional data (using SQL) to cleaning, transforming, and loading it into visualization tools for analysis.
