Job Description Position : Senior Data EngineerDepartment : EngineeringReports to : SVP, TechnologyLevel : L7Job Family : Engineering Location : Remote (LATAM) Essential Responsibilities Architect and develop robust backend data models to support analytics across various teams such as Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Customer Success. Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, models, workflows, and complex queries to generate actionable insights from large datasets. Serve as a technical leader, providing mentorship and guidance on analytics initiatives and data storytelling. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and translate them into scalable data architectures. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality issues to ensure accuracy and reliability in analytics and reporting. Qualifications 6+ years of experience in data engineering, preferably in eCommerce or subscription-based businesses. Expertise with modern data warehouses / lakes (Snowflake, Trino, Redshift, BigQuery) and strong SQL skills. Skilled in relational database design, data modeling, and maintaining data integrity. Proficient with dbt and experienced in building reusable, tested datasets with rigorous data quality checks. Experience with API integrations, ERPs (e.g., NetSuite), forecasting platforms, and Customer Data Platforms. Operational experience with reverse ETLs and enabling business teams through operationalized analytics data. Knowledge of website experimentation, A / B testing, CRO, and marketing analytics platforms. Strong skills in data visualization tools (Omni, Looker or similar) and excellent communication skills. Experience with version control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab), CI / CD pipelines, and ensuring data infrastructure reliability.
