Overview

Merapar is a European software consulting company that specializes in cloud (AWS and GCP), video platforms and IoT. We serve the Americas market from Chile, working in small agile teams to help global video power houses such as BBC, NBC Universal, Liberty Global, and Discovery bring software innovations to market. Our projects are typically written in TypeScript using serverless technology, with a backend built on API Gateway, Lambdas, DynamoDB, and a frontend in React. We value ideas on how to improve.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, test and document software in an agile team.
  • As a senior member of the team, coach younger colleagues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics or provable relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience implementing distributed systems in TypeScript or Python.
  • Experience with Scrum.
  • Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Live in Santiago. We typically meet once a week to work together and have lunch together.
  • All standard soft skills commonly required for the role.

    • Desirable Skills

  • AWS or GCP certification.
  • Scrum.org certification.
  • Experience with video platforms.
