About This Role:
We are hiring a Senior Creative Strategist & Direct-Response Copywriter for a fast-growing DTC foot care and consumer wellness brand. This role requires strong capability in both direct-response copywriting and video/creative production, owning copy and creative quality across ads, landing pages, CRO tests, email, SMS, and agency output. The brand already has documented voice guidelines, a mapped customer archetype, and structured customer research, so your focus will be extending that foundation into stronger, conversion-focused creative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and improve conversion-focused copy across paid ads, landing pages, product pages, CRO tests, email, and SMS, including hooks, headlines, offers, angles, and scripts.

• Turn insights from product reviews, post-purchase surveys, Meta ad comments, Amazon reviews, Reddit, and competitor ad libraries into creative briefs, messaging, and testing ideas.

• Own brand voice and serve as the final quality check for copy and creative before launch.

• Review high-volume static and video creative and give clear, actionable feedback to agencies, editors, designers, producers, and freelancers.

• Manage 6+ external creative partners, including briefs, revisions, priorities, deadlines, and quality control.

• Use Meta Ads Manager and performance metrics such as CTR, hook rate, CPA, CVR, ROAS, and spend to identify patterns and determine what to test next.

• Work closely with the Founder/CMO and media buyer, eventually taking full ownership of creative reviews, agency feedback, and testing priorities.

• Atria or similar creative performance tools

• Figma or Canva

• Google Docs and Google Sheets

• Slack, Trello, Notion, or similar project management tools

• Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools

• Klaviyo or similar email/SMS platforms — nice to have, not required

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in direct-response copywriting, creative strategy, performance marketing, or a similar role, preferably within eCommerce or DTC consumer brands.

• Native or professional-level fluency in written English — non-negotiable.

• Proven ability to write conversion-focused copy from scratch and turn customer research into strong creative briefs, angles, and testing ideas.

• Strong experience in both direct-response copywriting and video/creative production, including reviewing static and video work and giving clear feedback to creative teams.

• Strong understanding of customer psychology, brand voice, offers, hooks, messaging, and conversion-focused creative.

• Strong understanding of Meta Ads Manager, campaign structure, creative testing, and performance data to determine what to test next.

• Experience managing multiple agencies, freelancers, or external creative partners.

• Portfolio or case studies showing measurable creative impact, such as improved CVR, ROAS, CPA, spend, or campaign scale.

• Strong communication, organization, and ownership, with confidence working directly with founders and senior marketing leaders.

Shift Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, with 3–4 hours of daily overlap with the client's working hours in Romania for meetings and collaboration.

• The rest of the working hours can be completed flexibly and asynchronously.

• Exact overlap hours will be agreed upon directly with the client.

Additional Requirement:

• This is an exclusive full-time contractor role. The selected contractor must not maintain concurrent client engagements during the contract.

• A short writing and creative editing assessment will be part of the hiring process.
