Part-time Health and Safety Assistant

A civil engineering and construction contractor is looking to appoint a part-time Health & Safety Assistant to support a major project in Conwy.
This role will provide support to the Health & Safety function, ensuring project documentation, records andpliance activities are maintained effectively throughout the project lifecycle. The position would suit someone with previous experience in a Health & Safety Administration, Coordinator or Assistant role within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
The successful candidate will work closely with site management and operational teams to ensure health and safety documentation remains accurate, up to date andpliant.
Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining health & safety records, registers and project documentation
• Assisting with site inductions and onboarding administration
• Managing training records andpetency matrices
• Supporting the administration of RAMS, permits and sitepliance documentation
• Recording and tracking accidents, incidents and near misses
• Assisting with internal audits, inspections andpliance checks
• Monitoring and closing out health & safety actions
• Providing administrative support to the wider project and site management teams
• Producing reports andpliance information as required

Person Specification
Essential

• Previous experience in a Health & Safety Administrator, Coordinator or Assistant role
• Experience working within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure environments
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively

Desirable

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification
• Experience maintainingpliance and audit documentation
