Position Summary

Assists in providing basic and intermediate nursing care to assigned group of patients.

Able to work at least eight hours per pay‑period. May work shift in increments of 4, 8, 10 and 12 hours as assigned. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited school of nursing, professional nursing (RN) program. Must be entering their final clinical practicum rotation in nursing school.

Minimum Experience

Successfully completed a basic clinical skills lab. Skills checklist may be used to validate experience.

Required Courses / Completions

Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.

Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position if working in the ED or Behavioral Health Area.
