The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization within the Customer Experience and Success (CE&S) group leads the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by delivering AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to accelerate business value, drive operational excellence, and nurture long-term loyalty. This role focuses on delivering customer / partner value through aligned, scalable solutions and a strong customer-centric mindset.
This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.
Responsibilities
- Operate according to required operational excellence and proven practice standards across all sales stages / activities / tools with minimal guidance from more experienced peers.
- Collaborate across Microsoft and customer / partner teams to achieve customer / partner objectives and increase satisfaction.
- Identify, escalate, and mitigate blockers using appropriate tools; deliver solutions in line with company methodologies with minimal guidance.
- Identify new opportunities for Consumption, Usage & Unified expansion at scale with minimal guidance; leverage market insights and demand signals.
- Contribute to virtual teams using knowledge of Microsoft architectures and their context in the competitive landscape.
- Identify gaps that enable solutions to scale across customers with minimal guidance from more experienced peers.
- Engage with customers / partners to articulate and shape architectures / solutions that align with business goals and ROI, and advocate for alternatives as needed.
- Deliver results following company methodologies (e.g., VBDs, value-based deliverables, training, technical validation) with minimal guidance; help customers achieve operational readiness and desired business outcomes.
- Support change management practices to increase customer adoption, satisfaction, and ongoing consumption / usage.
- Guide customers / partners toward well-architected, secure, resilient, and cost-optimized solutions that enable retention and expansion opportunities.
Customer Centricity
Focus on customer / partner experience through efficient delivery and a seamless, connected experience.Develop understanding of customer goals and contribute to defining success conditions; address dissatisfaction and contribute to strategies to improve value realization and transformation.Translate customer / partner problems into industry solutions aligned with Microsoft product and platform strategy; build relationships with technical decision makers and aid collaboration between TDMs and BDMs.Provide feedback to Engineering teams and other internal stakeholders; help identify patterns to inform product roadmaps and improvements.Partner Specialization & Technical Leadership
Glean insights into solution-area market opportunities; guide partners in developing offerings and solutions; deliver technical enablement.Drive growth of solution utilization with partners and unblock technical blockers in customer deals.Demonstrate technical readiness and contribute to virtual teams; mentor others and participate in external events to share learnings.Identify gaps in delivery and communicate them to stakeholders to drive product / process improvements.The MECM (aka SCCM) / Intune Customer Engineer components include : design, deployment, health assessment, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance tuning, reporting, Co-Management with Intune, and related training.Qualifications
Required / minimum qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 2+ years’ experience in cloud / infrastructure technologies, IT consulting / support, systems administration, network operations, software development / support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and / or consulting OR equivalent experience.Advanced English level.Demonstrated experience as an architect in a cloud environment.Experience in Enterprise IT Service Delivery.Experience presenting, whiteboarding, or demoing technical solutions to stakeholders.Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in relevant fields with 3+ to 5+ years in cloud / infrastructure technologies or related areas, per listed combinations.2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role and 2+ years on technical projects.Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) or security.3 years as a depth expert / technology owner or consultant for MECM / SCCM.Ability to present to multiple levels of customer leadership and act as a consultant / architect for multiple customers.Broad knowledge across MECM / Intune domains (e.g., Windows Desktop / Server Management, SQL Server, Active Directory, Certificates, IIS, DNS, Security, Intune, Co-Management, PowerShell, reporting, etc.).Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
