This job posting requests a Draughtsman / Proyectist with expertise in sanitary projects for a Metro de Santiago engineering services bidding, with at least 5 years of professional experience in sanitary or water supply projects.

Role location : Santiago de Chile

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual, basic, and / or detailed engineering for stations, workshops, staff facilities, and tunnels, including documentation deemed relevant for project understanding.
• Validate and supplement engineering data provided by Metro.
• Correct and adapt conceptual or basic designs to site conditions.
• Validate and complement design criteria based on Metro’s inputs.
• Study, understand, and validate Conceptual / Básica Engineering drawings and documents provided by Metro.
• Develop construction systems and assess their impact on the project environment.
• Create 3D imagery and models.
• Identify and address errors or omissions in the Conceptual, Basic, or Detailed Engineering developed by the Consultant, without generating new charges for Metro.
• Carrying out topographic surveying (levantamiento planimétrico).
• Coordinate, validate, and obtain approvals from external entities (e.g., MOP, Municipalities, SERVIU, among others); Metro will cover related procedures.
• Identify and resolve interferences.
• Work with Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology and ensure BIM projects align with the Chilean public project standard published in 2019.
• Prepare documents for construction bidding (terms of reference, bases, technical background, etc.).
• Develop presentations (PPT) or reports for external entities (Municipalities, Monument Council, SERVIU, DTPM, MOP, and other ministerial entities).
• Provide supervision services for works, supporting resolution of field issues and issuing corrected documents when project modifications are required.
• Provide Project Coordination services, including professional staff acting as coordinators or project managers to support Metro staff as project loads require. A Consulting Coordinator may lead this team.

Within the Coordinator responsibilities, ensure document control to guarantee correct management of processes in the document management system via the Aconex platform.

Qualifications

Projects may require development of the following : soil mechanics studies, roadway studies, topographic surveying, internal services and installations, project presentations to CMN, geotechnical studies, photogrammetry with drones, drilling and geotechnical investigations, hydrological and environmental studies, seismic and structural stability studies, electrical measurements, and georadar.

Role and BIM

Projects requiring BIM must be executed by a team of BIM-expert professionals with knowledge of the Chilean BIM standard for public projects (2019).
