Descripción del trabajoSet up local environment and complete the first pull request. Familiarize with the team's business domain and contribute to product development. Develop deeper understanding of technology, processes and product pipeline. Lead technical initiatives and drive codebase and process improvements. Mentor new team members and maintain detailed understanding of Toptal’s stack and processes. 3+ years of web development experience with Node and React. Strong understanding of backend and development principles, databases, clean code and modern testing practices. Experience with modern JavaScript, preferably TypeScript and React. Knowledge of Ruby (or a similar language like Python) is a strong plus. Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to tackle complex problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions. Thrives in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing company and handles diverse challenges and contacts. World‑class individual contributor with a strong technical mindset.

Job Summary
The Platform Foundation Team owns the core functionality of Toptal's primary internal application platform and many adjacent services. The role involves building applications using Node.js, Ruby for back‑end, and React for front‑end, leveraging TypeScript and GraphQL.
Responsibilities
- Write elegant, efficient, and testable Node, Ruby and React code that is easy to maintain and debug.
- Integrate new features with React front‑end components.
- Implement APIs to feed the front‑end with data.
- Cover code with tests and perform manual testing of features, while reviewing colleagues’ work.
- Continuously improve team processes, brainstorm ideas, and communicate status and progress.
- Mentor team members, provide feedback and grow professionally.
- Learn new concepts and technologies.
