Senior Network Support Engineer

Description

We are seeking a Senior Network Support Engineer with expertise in LAN/WAN network infrastructure and cloud platforms to join our team. This individual will provide ongoing day-to-day support for the global data network and serve as level 3 support for all network-related tasks and troubleshooting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying LAN/WAN network infrastructure, as well as maintaining monitoring and reporting systems. They will also handle on-call duties for non-business hours support and perform administrative tasks related to time entry and status reporting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure
• Perform 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN alerts and issues
• Maintain monitoring and reporting systems
• Produce and maintain documentation related to all systems developed/deployed
• Perform on-call duty for non-business hours support
• Configure and install various network devices and services
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
• Work within established configuration and change management policies
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures
• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution
• Conduct technical trainings to internal resources

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in LAN/WAN network infrastructure support and troubleshooting
• CCNP certification and a BA or B.S. Degree
• Proficiency in configuring and installing various network devices and services such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN
• Expertise in network maintenance, system upgrades, and monitoring system resource utilization and capacity planning
• Experience in implementing security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companys security team
• Experience with SDWAN, Next Gen Firewalls, troubleshooting routing loops, and asymmetric routing
• Proficient in configuring/troubleshooting network security, LAN switching, quality of service, and TCP/IP protocol suite
• Familiarity with application protocols and network security technologies such as VPN, AAA architecture, and load balancers
• Ability to interact with customers, understand requirements, and communicate effectively with the offshore team
• B2+ English level proficiency

Nice to have

• Experience with firewall cloud services such as Zscaler
• Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst & Nexus switches and Cisco IOS, NX-OS software
• Familiarity with application load balancers
