Overview

Molycop is a global leader in the manufacture and supply of grinding media, mining chemicals and rail consumables. The Senior Sales Engineer role focuses on business development, building strong client relationships, and providing technical support for Cast High Chrome grinding media.

Responsibilities

  • Provide authoritative technical advice and support on Cast High Chrome grinding media, particularly its value in mineral recovery circuits, to the Sales team and customers.
  • Develop and manage sales internationally, building strong business relationships with external stakeholders, suppliers, and advisers.
  • Develop business strategy and execute the sales plan for new and existing products.
  • Build new sales domestically and internationally, soliciting and negotiating sales according to the Business Plan.
  • Coordinate with the existing Sales team, Customer Service, Applications, Metallurgy and other personnel to execute sales and provide support for our products.
  • Manage yearly and monthly customer forecasts, and maintain technical and commercial data files in coordination with other business units.

What you Need

  • Mineral Processing, Metallurgy degree or Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • 10 years of mineral processing experience with deep knowledge of milling, mineral processing, and related technical product applications, with specific knowledge of Cast High Chrome media.
  • Business professional with an established network in the mining sector and international account management experience preferred.
  • Extensive technical knowledge with the ability to synthesize and communicate technical details and present value-based business proposals to customers and the sales team; Cast High Chrome specialist knowledge is essential.
  • Experience working in an international, multidisciplinary environment with engineers, consulting staff and project managers.

  • Strong business acumen, integrity, judgement, and decision-making skills. Efficient time management and strong organisational abilities. Self-motivated, problem-solver with energy.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
