Job Summary

Prepare geotechnical / soil mechanics engineering calculations, reports, and conceptual designs for mining projects. Coordinate multidisciplinary studies, present results, and supervise other team members as needed. Travel to job sites for inspections and oversee subsurface investigation campaigns. This part‑time telework position may require at least three days of in‑person attendance per week.

Major Responsibilities

• Prepare geotechnical calculations and produce reports for mining projects.
• Provide input on slope stability, bearing capacity, settlements, foundations, and other geotechnical aspects supporting civil designs.
• Support multiple projects worldwide, following Bechtel procedures and maintaining high technical quality.
• Provide technical direction and assign work to engineers, designers, and drafters.
• Coordinate tasks with other technical specialists and project personnel.
• Understand standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and cost estimating.
• Travel to job sites for technical inspections and investigation campaigns.
• Report to an experienced Geotechnical Engineering Specialist and receive technical supervision.
• Foster a collaborative work environment based on openness, trust, and teamwork.
