Responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and define project scope
- Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions
- Identify improvement opportunities and propose practical, innovative solutions aligned with business goals
- Facilitate workshops, conduct stakeholder interviews, and lead requirements gathering sessions
- Create clear, concise documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), user stories, and use cases
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams
- Support the implementation and testing of proposed solutions to ensure alignment with requirements
- Drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery
Requirements
3+ years of working experience as a BI Analyst, preferably within the insurance sectorProficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and creating prototype queries (joins, aggregates, basic window functions)Understanding of data warehouse concepts, including ETL / ELT processes, Data Lakes, Data Marts, star / snowflake schemas, and fact vs. dimension tablesHands-on skills in BI tools like Power BI or Tableau for dashboards, metrics, and data visualizationKnowledge of data quality principles like accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and relevant experience in validation or UAT for reportsCapability to translate business requirements into KPIs, metrics, and reporting logicBackground in analyzing data models such as ER diagrams and connections between entitiesFamiliarity with master data, reference data, and metadata managementUnderstanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies, along with experience using tools like Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft Office SuiteShowcase of proposing new ideas, solutions, and process improvements independentlyExceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skillsEnglish proficiency at a B2 level or higher for effective communicationNice to have
