What The Role Delivers

We are in search of a professional experienced in cost Account and general finance to oversee the finance area in Chile and work together with Regional Finance director on managing the local business.

There is the opportunity for in the future extending the job to the region.

Key Responsibilities

In order of relative importance

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Support Regional Finance director in finance planning and performance management processes, including strategic plan and annual contract planning / forecasting, target development, financial performance reporting / analysis, financial modeling, and decision support for a manufacturing plant, plant cluster, or hub.
  • Local Presence and support over financial aspects of the Chilean business, mainly focus on supporting accounting and overview of the local AR / AP processes in close alignment with Region and global processes.
  • Support Driving forward the control and compliance agenda within the territory in accordance with company standards, particularly the Internal Control Framework (ICF), with deeper focus on cost accounting.
  • Participate in standard fixed costing processes, supporting all estimates related to fixed costs, cost breakdown, and detailed cost analysis.
  • Partners with plant management and region operations head to provide critical financial perspective and insight for business strategies and decisions, monitoring and adjusting execution of actions.
  • Proactively enhance financial process efficiency through a technology awareness agenda aligned with finance evolution.
  • Actively support business decisions with business cases, financial statements, cost projections, and anticipating supply chain operational impact.
  • Provide support and challenge to the regional operations Team through insightful business analysis to facilitate the delivery of excellent business and financial results.
  • Coordinate key financial analysis (business delivery tracking, latest outlooks / estimates, business case, budgets, etc.) in accordance with global procedures and deadlines.
  • Participate in Production Finance month-end-close review meetings, highlighting variances against forecasts and following up on actions to mitigate adverse variances.
  • Drive for harmonization, efficiencies, and improvements to ways of working, building a mindset of continuous improvement within the Finance team.
  • Develop a deep business understanding of manufacturing processes, continuously looking for ways to improve financial processes through production processes (e.g., reporting / KPI / dashboard).

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Proficiency in finance and accounting, industrial costs, management tools (ERP – Mainly SAP), standards and regulations (US and Local GAAP, etc.), and data analysis / tools.
  • Strong leadership and capability of work with remote teams.
  • Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively to different audiences, including senior management.
  • Strong problem-solving ability to develop practical and efficient solutions.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in the business environment and regulations.
  • Experience in financial planning and performance management, including analyzing, planning, and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and strategy development, investment decisions, and cost management to achieve financial targets.
  • Business acumen and understanding of Supply Chain / manufacturing dynamics.
  • Proven business partnering, influencing, and communication skills across a large regional or global, public company.
  • Growth / digital mindset and ability to identify opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Integrity and sound judgment in all decisions and interactions aligned with company values, policies, and external regulations.

    • What The Job Requires

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration
  • Fluent in Spanish and advanced English (Portuguese as a differential).

    • What To Have Done And Know How To Do

    These skills and experiences are highly desirable; however, they do not preclude exceptions based on an individual’s performance history and demonstrated potential.

  • Knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP, BPC, Power BI
  • Demonstrable work experience as cost accountant supervisor or manager.
  • LATAM Regional experience desirable.
  • Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles, and basic understanding on treasury (maily to overview payments with close contact with regional director).
  • Demonstrable ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Practical experience in handling spreadsheets and accounting software (SAP).
  • Data work (input and reports) on SAP system.
  • High degree of precision and attention to detail.
